TXBF is part of a national documentary on burlesque and the festival will be filmed!

This years festival will be documented by a national film crew. Because of this there will be several changes to the way we do this event.

1. TXBF will be held in a large film production facility called 501 Studios (AKA: The Independant) and not in a nightclub or large format theater. It is under 300 capacity and will be crowded. Alcohol is allowed and there will be a bar.

2. There will be a dressing room with multiple bathrooms and a lounge area for performers but it will be up a flight of stairs and on the other side of the venue from the bar... we apologize for this inconvenience.

3. Because of the filming and the venue size, Saturday nights performances will be held twice (early show and late show). This is so that we can get more people in to see the show (We expect both shows to sell out) and so that the camera crews can get and use the strongest of your 2 performances. If you do not wish to perform your routine twice in 1 evening, please select a Thursday or Friday night option to showcase.

3. Please bring you best routine possible! We have a complete production team including pre production recording studio facilities, intelligent lighting and stage crew. We encourage you to use props, scenes and extravagant costuming and to talk to our technical director if accepted regarding your tech needs. We have access to multiple props including tri-fold screens, extensive smoke machines, strobes, LED stage washes and other theatrical needs if you are unable to travel with what you need. Please talk to us to make it the best performances possible.

* You understand that there will be camera crews filming and your likeness may be used. If accepted into the festival you will be asked to sign a film release. Cameras will be everywhere including the dressing rooms (limited and respectful of course), venue, crowd, outside, etc. If you are uncomfortable with this please request a Thursday or Friday performance slot.

* You understand that all things listed are subject to change at any time.

* By continuing to the application page you affirm that you have read and agree to everything listed on this page.

I have read and agree to the terms listed above.
